International donors continue to provide assistance to Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, July 3, 2020. /Kabar/. International donors continue to provide assistance to Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Aida Ismailova told at a briefing.
She said four international donors have provided funds to the health system.
Thus, following is assistance being rendered to the country:
- $ 9 million from the World Bank under the ERIK project. At present, tenders have been held, "retenders" are taking place. PPE, equipment are being supplied. These funds have also been used to purchase ambulances.
- $ 12 million from the World Bank to fight against infection. The ratification procedure has been passed.
- $ 20 million from the Asian Development Bank, ratification process took place last week at the Kyrgyz Parliament.
- $ 15 million from the Islamic Development Bank. An agreement was signed at the end of June, and on June 25 the ratification procedure was held at the Parliament.
