Jeenbekov to attend 75th anniversary of WWII victory events

On June 24, at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kyrgyz leader Sooronbay Jenbekov will take part in the celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the Kyrgyz President's press service said. According to Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the President's Office Daniyar Sydykov within the framework of the visit, President Jeenbekov is expected to take part in a military parade on Red Square in Moscow, as well as in a ceremony of laying flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Kremlin wall. "It is remarkable that 75 years ago on this day, June 24, 1945, the legendary historical parade of winners took place on Red Square," Daniyar Sydykov said.
