Korea provides humanitarian assistance to Kyrgyzstan in fight against coronavirus infection

Bishkek, May 29, 2020 / Kabar /. As part of the fight against COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan, the Government of the Republic of Korea allocated USD 300 thousand as a humanitarian aid, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government reported. PCR tests and equipment for testing for coronavirus were purchased for the indicated amount. In addition, a humanitarian assistance worth more than USD 28 thousand were attracted by the efforts of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Korea for the acquisition of PCR tests from private companies and partners. Today, this humanitarian aid was delivered by the Korean airline T’Way to Manas International Airport by a charter flight. A total of 26 thousand 950 PCR tests and 2 sets of equipment with consumables for testing for coronavirus were delivered. The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic expresses its gratitude to the Korean side for the humanitarian assistance and support provided in the context of the spread of the coronavirus infection.
