Kyrgyz, Japanese health ministers discuss further prospects for cooperation

Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2019 / Kabar /. Within the framework of the meeting on health issues, which is taking place in New York these days, Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kosmosbek Cholponbaev, met with Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan Katsunobu Kato. During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and long-term plans for cooperation in the field of healthcare. Cholponbaev informed the interlocutor about the implementation of a number of health projects in the country implemented with the help of Japanese side, thanking his colleague for the technical and expert support provided, expressing hope for further strengthening of cooperation between the two ministries. Mr. Kato, in turn, noted that the Japanese side, both through the government line and through private companies, is trying to provide feasible assistance to Kyrgyzstan in the field of health, expressing readiness for further development of bilateral relations between the two departments, including providing assistance to the Kyrgyz side in implementation of programs and projects aimed at strengthening the health system of Kyrgyzstan.
