Kyrgyz speaker calls prime minister to prepare for second wave of coronavirus infection

Bishkek, May 22, 2020 / Kabar/. Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Dastanbek Dzhumabekov called Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev to prepare for the second wave of coronavirus infection, noting the difficulties faced by the economy and medicine in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the parliament said. The speaker voiced the need to keep a budget of financial resources in order to possibly prevent the spread of the virus in the fall, as predicted by WHO experts. Today, 37 new COVID-19 cases have been registered in Kyrgyzstan raising the total number to 1350, of which 273 cases of infection by medical personnel. 949 people were recovered and discharged from hospitals, including 224 health workers. Fourteen have passed away.
