Kyrgyz students test positive for COVID-19 after arrival from Tajikistan

Bishkek, May 6, 2020. /Kabar/. Four Kyrgyz students who arrived from Tajikistan had been diagnosed with a COVID-19 coronavirus infection, Chief Sanitary Doctor, Deputy Health Minister of Kyrgyzstan Nurbolot Usenbayev said at a news briefing.
He added 28 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Kyrgyzstan in the past day.
"Of these, five people have arrived from abroad. One of them came from Dubai; the virus was detected during a medical examination at the clinic. Three other students have arrived from Khojand (Tajikistan) in Leilek. Another student is from Dushanbe. The infection was detected in him during the border crossing," he said.
As of May 6, 28 more cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Kyrgyzstan, bringing the total to 871.
Of these, 211 cases are identified among medical workers.
Number of recoveries from this respiratory disease is 614.
12 have passed away.
