Kyrgyzstan confirms 205 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, June 22, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan confirmed on Monday 205 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number of infections to 3356. The country’s Health Minister Sabirzhan Abdikarimov told a news briefing that in total, 2289 laboratory tests were conducted in the country in the last 24 hours, which detected 205 new cases. He said that of the new confirmed cases, 26 are medical workers, bringing the total number of contracted medical workers to 582, including 387 recoveries. The minister also reported 3 new virus related deaths, raising the total number of fatalities to 40. Abdikarimov said that 10 people were discharged from various hospitals in the country after receiving treatment, bringing the total number of people who have so far recovered to 2021. Currently, 571 people remained hospitalized, and 11 patients are in intensive care.
