Kyrgyzstan confirms 207 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, June 24, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan added on Wednesday 207 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number of infections to 3726. In total, 4196 laboratory tests were conducted in the country in the last 24 hours, which detected 207 new cases, the country’s Deputy Health Minister Mademin Karataev told a news briefing. He said that of the new confirmed cases, the most of the cases are registered in the capital Bishkek city – 92 cases, the rest are in regions. Among the new cases 25 are medical workers, bringing the total number of contracted medical workers to 629, including 389 recoveries. The deputy minister also reported 1 new virus related death, raising the total number of fatalities to 42. Karataev said that 28 people were discharged from various hospitals in the country after receiving treatment, bringing the total number of people who have so far recovered to 2082. Currently, 623 people remained hospitalized, 42 are in serious condition, 12 patients are in intensive care. In addition, 979 asymptomatic patients are in home quarantine, in total 15065 people had contact with infected patients.
