Kyrgyzstan confirms 28 more COVID-19 c ases, 1 new death

Bishkek, May 6, 2020. /Kabar/. As of 10.00 a.m. on May 6, 28 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been revealed in Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Health Minister of the republic Nurbolot Usenbayev told Wednesday. Of these, 16 cases have been registered in Bishkek, 2 in Chui Oblast, 6 in Dzhalal-Abad Oblast and 4 in Batken Oblast. The deputy minister added 14 patients with previously confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 have been discharged from hospitals throughout the country in the past day. According to Usenbayev, all their repeated analysis showed negative results. Also, during the past 24 hours a 67-year-old woman diagnosed with severe COVID-19 coronavirus infection died at the Republican Infectious Disease Clinical Hospital in Bishkek. "She was also diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia, polyorgan failure syndrome, cerebral edema. The patient also suffered from cirrhosis of the liver with portal hypertension and exudative pleuritis," Usenbayev said. Currently, 245 COVID-19 patients are being treated in hospitals, of which 7 are in serious condition and 4 are in intensive care unit. Thus, Kyrgyzstan's coronavirus case tally has reached 871, including 221 medical workers, 614 people have cured and discharged from hospitals, 12 patients have died.
