Kyrgyzstan imposes restriction on holding mass events

Bishkek, March 12, 2020. / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz government has introduced a temporary restriction on cultural, sports and other public events until the epidemiological situation of coronavirus infection improves (COVID-19). The corresponding decision was signed by Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev, the press service of the government said. This decision was made in order to prevent the threat of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population of the Kyrgyz Republic. Individuals and legal entities, carrying out activities in the field of trade, services and public catering, are recommended to refrain from holding and participating in public events until the time limit is lifted, as well as to install sanitizers, air purifiers in rooms and halls, provide employees and visitors with disinfectants, the report said. Ministries, state committees, administrative departments of the Kyrgyz Republic in the regions, local state administrations and local governments have been instructed to take measures to ensure that institutions providing state and municipal services to the population with disinfectants, to conduct extensive outreach among the population on compliance with the provisions of this decision.
