Kyrgyzstan launches system to monitor citizens obliged to be under home quarantine

Bishkek, Apr. 13, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has launched a system to monitor citizens obliged to stay under home quarantine, the press service of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus Infection said Monday. A special resource and a mobile application are used only for those placed under home quarantine (not infected). The application is installed on the phone with the voluntary consent of the citizen, who signs the corresponding commitment for the period of quarantine. "The functionality of this mobile application allows a person to send his/her health data to healthcare professionals, who also have the ability to remotely monitor patient’s health indicators, thus reducing the burden on doctors. In case of deterioration of health, a citizen has an opportunity to use the SOS emergency button," the message says. The Headquarters assured this resource and its information are confidential and intended strictly for official use. The monitoring system has been developed by IT-hQ under the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic. As of Apr. 13, 419 cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in the republic. 67 people have recovered and discharged from hospitals. 5 coronavirus-related deaths confirmed.
