Kyrgyzstan reports 21 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, May 12, 2020 / Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday reported 21 new COVID-19 cases. So far, Kyrgyzstan has reported a total of 1037 coronavirus cases and 12 deaths since the outbreak began in March. Nurbolot Usenbayev, Deputy Health Minister of the country that among the newly infected 21 cases, three patients came from abroad, one from Dubai, two from Russia. He added that six cases are medical workers. The deputy minister noted that in total, 241 medical workers fell ill with novel coronavirus infection in the country. 186 of them have recovered and discharged from hospitals, he added. Usenbaev said that currently, there have been 316 patients with coronavirus infection in hospitals in the country, four of them are in intensive care. He also noted that 21 patients with a previously confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 were discharged from hospitals per day. In total, 709 COVID-19 patients have been recovered and discharged from hospitals throughout the country.
