Kyrgyzstan reports 27 new COVID-19 cases, 1243 in total

Bishkek, May 19, 2020 / Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan reported on Tuesday 27 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number to 1243.
The country's Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev said that among the newly infected 2 are medical workers.
He noted that the total number of contracted medical workers infected amounted to 257 people, while 219 of them have recovered.
The number of recovered cases increased to 898 with 71 new recoveries in the last 24 hours, Usenbaev added.
“All their repeated tests showed negative results,” he said.
To-date, 331 COVID-19 patients are in hospitals, and six of them are in intensive care.
In total, 2153 people who had contact with infected patients are under medical observation.
In addition, the number of contacts of the infected is 6164, all of them under the supervision of doctors in home quarantine.
