Kyrgyzstan reports 35 new COVID-19 cases, 1468 in total

Bishkek, May 26, 2020 / Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday confirmed 35 new COVID-19 cases, raising its total number of infections to 1468. Deputy Health Minister of the country Nurbolot Usenbaev, during his daily online news briefing, said that said that among 1788 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 35 cases came back positive. He said that of the newly infected 7 are medical workers, bringing the number of contracted medical workers to 287, including 237 recoveries. Usenbaev noted that the number of recoveries increased to 1015, with 23 new recoveries in the last 24 hours. The official said that there are currently 437 patients in hospitals with confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis, 4 of them are in the intensive care. In total, currently 2333 people who have had contact with infected patients are under medical observation. In addition, the number of contacts of the infected is 6875, all of them under the supervision of doctors in home quarantine.
