Kyrgyzstan reports 37 new COVID-19 cases, 1350 in total

Bishkek, May 22, 2020 / Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan confirmed 37 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, raising its total number of infections to 1350. Among the newly infected, 3 are medical workers, bringing the total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 to 273, 224 of whom have recovered, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev told a daily briefing. The total number of recovered cases has increased to 949, with 20 new recoveries in the last 24 hours, he added. To date, 387 patients have been treated in hospitals throughout the country, with 4 in intensive care. In total, 2150 people who have had contact with infected patients are under medical observation. In addition, the number of contacts of the infected is 6600, all of them under the supervision of doctors in home quarantine.
