Kyrgyzstan reports 69 new COVID - 19 cases

Bishkek, June 1, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan on Monday confirmed 69 new COVID-19 cases, raising its total number of infections to 1817. Deputy Health Minister of the country Nurbolot Usenbaev, during his daily online news briefing, said that among the newly infected 12 are medical workers, bringing the number of contracted medical workers to 362, including 252 recoveries. He added that 18 cases are imported ones, 46 new cases are contacts with patients, and 5 sources of infection have not been identified. The official said that there are currently 620 patients in hospitals with confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis, 5 are in the intensive care unit. In total, currently 2393 people who have had contact with infected patients are under medical observation. In addition, the number of contacts of the infected is 7630, all of them under the supervision of doctors in home quarantine. The deputy minister noted that 1151 tests for the virus were held in the country in the past 24 hours.
