Kyrgyzstan, Russia’s Novosibirsk discuss prospects for interregional cooperation

Bishkek, Dec.26, 2019. /Kabar/. Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Novosibirsk Kaldarali Mamataliyev met on Tuesday with Governor of Novosibirsk Oblast Andrey Travnikov, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said. During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for interregional cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Novosibirsk Oblast in various spheres, as well as the situation of Kyrgyz workers. Governor Travnikov supported the assignment of the name of famous Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov to one of the streets of the city of Novosibirsk within the framework of the upcoming Cross Year of the two countries. He also expressed readiness to assist in holding in 2020 the All-Russian Volleyball Tournament among the Kyrgyz diasporas of the Russian regions, initiated by the Consulate General and the Kyrgyz diaspora in Novosibirsk Oblast.
