Kyrgyzstan, Russia share experience in implementing digital transport systems

Bishkek, June 1, 2020. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic took part in a video conference on the implementation of digital systems in the field of transport. According to the ministry’s press service, the experience of Kyrgyzstan and Russia was demonstrated during the online event. In particular, presentations were made on the experience of implementation of digital systems in the weight control system, on the system of issuing permits to carriers in online mode, as well as on toll collection for compensation of damage, caused to public roads with a maximum permissible weight exceeding 12 tons. "During the conversation the Russian colleagues noted the fact that only introduction of modern digital tools in the transport sphere, including with the use of satellite navigation systems, helped to reduce illegal segments in cargo transportation and to direct the funds, received from cargo carriers to work on preservation of roads," the report says. The sides agreed to continue supporting cooperation in exchange of experience in transport and road spheres of the two states.
