Kyrgyzstan strengthens its position in Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover

Tashkent, Nov.20, 2019. /Kabar/. In January-October, main partners of Uzbekistan in export of goods and services in foreign trade turnover were China (16.8% of total exports), Russia (13.4%), Kazakhstan (8.5%), Turkey (6.6%), Kyrgyzstan (3.9%), Afghanistan (3.3%) and Tajikistan (1.8%).
The share of the above countries in total exports exceeded 50%. Kyrgyzstan has been strengthening its position year by year, ahead of Iran and Afghanistan, the website of Uzbekistan’s State Committee on Statistics reported.
According to the results of January-October 2019, the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan amounted to $34.73 billion and increased by $ 8.89 billion, or 34.4% more compared to the same period last year.
Of this number, exports reached $14.81 billion (growth rate - 43.3%), and imports - $19.92 billion U.S. dollars (growth rate - 28.5%). There was a passive balance of foreign trade turnover in the amount of $5.12 billion.
Uzbekistan has trade relations with more than 189 countries. The largest volume of its foreign trade turnover is recorded with China (19.1%), Russia (15.1%), Kazakhstan (8.4%), the Republic of Korea (6.5%), Turkey (5.9%), Germany (2.4%) and Kyrgyzstan (2.0%)
