Bishkek, Mar.2, 2020 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has ranked 79th with index 62.3, entering the category of a Moderately Free economy. Such data is given by the Heritage Foundation U.S. research center.
According to Akchabar, the country has overtaken all member-states of Commonwealth Independent States (CIS), except Kazakhstan, which took 59th place.
Moldova ranked 97th place, Russia 98th, Belarus 104th, Tajikistan 122nd, Uzbekistan 140th, Ukraine 147th, Turkmenistan 164th.
Index of Economic Freedom (IEF) is calculated by 10 indicators:
property rights;
freedom from corruption;
fiscal freedom;
government spending;
entrepreneurship freedom;
labor freedom;
monetary freedom;
trade freedom;
investment freedom;
financial freedom.
IEF compliers believe the Index strives to provide as a comprehensive a view of economic freedom as possible with data that illuminate varying aspects of the rule of law, the size and scope of government, the efficiency of regulations, and the openness of the economy to global commerce.
For twenty-five years, the Index of Economic Freedom has measured the impact of liberty and free markets around the globe, and the 2019 Index confirms the formidable positive relationship between economic freedom and progress.
The Index covers 12 freedoms-form property rights to financial freedom-in 186 countries.
