Last convoy of Kyrgyzstan’s trucks heading from Iran enters Kazakhstan

Bishkek, March 26, 2020. /Kabar/. The last convoy of 12 Kyrgyzstan’s trucks heading from Iran entered on March 25, 2020 the territory of Kazakhstan. The Kyrgyz trucks arrived in the neighboring country through the Kotyaevka- Kurmangazy checkpoint in transit through Azerbaijan, Russia and Kazakhstan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported. Since March 20, 2020 a total of 57 Kyrgyz trucks in 3 convoys have passed through the territory of Kazakhstan. Thus, as of March 25, 2020, the transit corridor provided by the Kazakh side exclusively for Kyrgyz trucks heading from Iran is considered closed, and the issue with the carriers has been resolved. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic expresses its gratitude and appreciation to Foreign Ministries of Iran, Azerbaijan, Russia and Kazakhstan for allowing Kyrgyz freight forwarders to pass through their countries without hindrance.
