Lawyers to render free consultations during quarantine period in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, May 18, 2020 / Kabar/. COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic raging in the world has not bypassed Kyrgyzstan. Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as foreigners located on the territory of the republic, faced a number of problems, the solution of which required legal assistance. It should be noted that in Kyrgyzstan there is a fairly developed network of institutions involved in legal support, including free of charge. However, given the new demands and challenges of social distance, most institutions were forced to suspend work. Therefore, from May 1, qualified lawyers has begun to provide free advice to citizens in three languages (Kyrgyz, Russian, English)on the hotline 112 (the Unified Call Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic).
This assistance is provided as part of the joint humanitarian response of the Emergency Response Coordination Team, which was activated March 16, 2020 at the request of the Government to assist in emergency preparedness and response to COVID-19 and training to early recovery.
If someone in Kyrgyzstan is in a difficult situation and they need legal assistance, especially during the quarantine period, when many are sitting at home and cannot speak directly with a lawyer, and besides they do not have extra money, they can call a hotline where they will be promptly consulted by experienced lawyers.
A call can be made on any day except Sunday from 08.00 to 20.00.
