At least 4 killed, 15 injured in trains collision near Moscow

MOSCOW, May 20 (Itar-Tass) - At least four people were killed and 15 injured after a passenger train collided with a freight train on Tuesday afternoon to the southwest of Moscow, the Russian Interior Ministry said. The trains collided between the stations of Bekasovo and Naro-Fominsk, located on the Kiev-bound railway some 50 kilometers (34 miles) from Moscow’s center, the Moscow Transport Police Department reported earlier. “Four people were killed and 15 injured as a result of the trains collision,” the ministry said. According to local law enforcers, 13 cars of the freight train derailed near the station of Bekasovo and crashed into passing by passenger train en route from Chisinau to Moscow overturning three of the train’s cars with people inside.
