Medicinal teas producing workshop opened in Bishkek

Bishkek, Dec. 4, 2019. / Kabar /. A restored production facility for medicinal teas was opened in Bishkek, the UN Industrial Development Project (UNIDO) reported. The solemn ceremony took place today in Bishkek on the territory of Ecofloris company. Within the framework of the UNIDO project “Linking the tourism industry to productive activities in the Issyk-Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic”, the company’s production facilities were reconstructed and three industrial lines for packaging and processing of medicinal herbs were received. Ecofloris, which processes healing herbs and produces high-quality teas with herbs and fruits, processes up to 5 tons of raw materials per year, of which 90% is purchased in Issyk-Kul region. The range of finished products is more than 27 types. The project is funded by Russia. The efforts of UNIDO in Kyrgyzstan are focused on the development of renewable energy, agribusiness and agricultural processing, especially through increasing the competitiveness of local production, as well as building trade potential.
