Number of coronavirus infection cases in Kyrgyzstan reaches 270

Bishkek, Apr. 8, 2020. /Kabar/. At 10:00 a.m. on Apr.8, 42 more cases of infection with coronavirus were registered in Kyrgyzstan, Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Sabirzhan Abdikarimov said at today’s news briefing. According to him, new cases were detected in the capital city of Bishkek - 10 people, Chui Oblast - 2, Naryn Oblast - 5, Dzhalal-Abad Oblast- 1, Osh Oblast - 24. "The epidemiological situation in the country remains tense," the minister said. Minister Abdikarimov added five patients with COVID-19 coronavirus infection are in intensive care on artificial lung ventilation. A total of 241 people in the country are in hospitals for treatment. "Condition of nine patients assessed as serious. Five patients are in intensive care. They are connected to a ventilator for oxygen therapy," the minister said. Thus, number of COVID-19 infection in the republic has increased to 270, 32 of them are medical workers. 25 patients have been discharged from hospitals as they have recovered. Four coronavirus-related deaths registered in the republic.
