Peak of COVID-19 incidence in Kyrgyzstan expected Apr. 20-24

Bishkek, Apr. 14, 2020. /Kabar/. Peak of COVID-19 coronavirus infection incidence in Kyrgyzstan is expected on Apr. 20-24, Chief Sanitary Doctor and Deputy Minister of Health Nurbolot Usenbayev said at a news briefing. According to him, the Health Ministry has established a forecasting team of experts and teachers from medical universities who monitor the global situation with the pandemic and the epidemiological situation in the country. “Now experts believe that the peak of morbidity will come on Apr. 20-24. We are waiting this peak because a decline is inevitable behind it," Usenbayev said. To date, 11 more cases of novel coronavirus have been revealed in Kyrgyzstan. Thus, the country confirmed a total of 430 cases. Of those, 71 people have recovered and discharged from hospitals. Five have died. First case of COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan was registered on March 18.
