Russia to hand over coronavirus diagnostic tools Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Feb.3, 2020. /Kabar/. Rospotrebnadzor (the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) has handed over diagnostic tools for new coronavirus infection to member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
"In order to assist the EAEU and CIS member states in preventing the importation and spread of new coronavirus infection, the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing transfers to partner countries on a non-repayable basis laboratory diagnostics of the new 2019-nCoV coronavirus, developed by the Vector State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology of the Rospotrebnadzor," the Service’s website says.
As noted, on Feb.1-2, 2020 the required number of Russian test-systems to determine 2019-nCoV has already been transferred to Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Delivery to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan is expected.
Delivery of test-systems to the countries of the Eurasian region is carried out within the framework of implementation by Rospotrebnadzor with the support of the Russian Government of measures to support neighboring countries in building capacity to combat the threats of infectious diseases.
Cooperation in the field of counteracting epidemics, including the donation of modern means of diagnosis and prevention of infections, makes a significant contribution to the sanitary and epidemiological wellbeing of the population and protection of public health in the Eurasian space
