Second kurultai of Kyrgyz students studying in South Korea held in Seoul

Bishkek, Nov.26, 2019 /Kabar/. The second kurultai (gathering) of Kyrgyz students, studying in the universities of the Republic Korea, was held in Seoul on Nov. 24, 2019, the press service of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Korea said. The event is organized by the Association of Kyrgyz students in South Korea, headed by Bolotbek Sulaimanov. During the meeting, Kyrgyz students exchanged views and prepared presentations on opportunities to enter Korean universities, receive state scholarships and further employment. In her welcoming speech, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to South Korea Dinara Kemelova noted the importance of students' return to Kyrgyzstan after graduation in order to apply the acquired knowledge for the benefit of the country's development, and called on students to actively cooperate with the Embassy in conducting joint activities to promote a positive image of the country in South Korea. Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Almazbek Baatyrbekov, heads of non-governmental associations of Kyrgyzstanis in South Korea took part in the work of the kurultai. The students had the opportunity to ask questions to Ambassador Kemelova and MP Baatyrbekov, and to receive answers on exciting topics, among which were the questions of training and stay of the citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in South Korea, consular direction, interaction of Kyrgyzstan with the Republic of Korea, as well as the activities of the Parliament and state institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic.
