Bishkek, June 17, 2020. /Kabar/. As of June 17, the situation at the checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh section of the state border is stable, the press service of the Kyrgyz State Border Service reported. Reopening of the Chaldybar-Avtodorozhnyi and Ken-Bulun-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoints allowed for the unloading of the Ak-Tilek-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoint and the unhindered movement of trucks without congestion and queues. To date, four road checkpoints are operating on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh section of the state border: Ak-Tilek-Avtodorozhnyi, Chaldybar-Avtodorozhnyi, Ken-Bulun-Avtodorozhnyi in Chui Oblast, and Chon-Kapka-Avtodorozhnyi in Talas Oblast. In accordance with the requirements of the Kyrgyz Government’s Decree of March 17, 2020, passage of citizens and cargo vehicles is carried out at the Ak-Tilek-Avtodorozhnyi and Chon-Kapka-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoints. The Chaldybar-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoint only operates for trucks to pass in both directions. Passage through the Ken-Bulun-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoint is open only for empty trucks leaving the Kyrgyz Republic. Railway freight trains are allowed to pass through the Kaindy-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoint.
