Three Malaysians Selected For International Antarctic Expedition

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 5 (Bernama) -- Three Malaysian youths were selected to be a part of the International Antarctic Expedition (IAE) 2014 for 14 days, starting March 8, 2014. The three lucky youths were Faisal Ariff, 31, a finance manager and volunteer in Mercy Malaysia, Paul Koh Zhu Kwang, 22, freelance photographer and Helena Erin Dodge-Wan, 20, a student at a higher learning institution. The expedition will be headed by Robert Swan, an environment lover and who has conquered the North and South pole. Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) chief executive officer Philip Seah when announcing the names said the three were selected based on a video that was submitted in the PRU4Antartika competition that started on Oct 7 and ended Tuesday. "The format of the video was why they should be selected to participate in the expedition and their objective to go to the Antarctic," he told reporters, here Wednesday. He said the competition received 300 entries. -- BERNAMA
