Turkish Airlines show interest in building terminals at two Kyrgyz airports

Bishkek, Feb.6, 2020./Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Transport and Roads Janat Beishenov is in Ankara these days for talks, the press service of the ministry reported. Beishenov has arrived in Turkey at the invitation of Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Mehmet Cahit Turhan. The sides discussed the resumption of flights en route "Osh - Istanbul - Osh", increasing the number of flights en route "Istanbul - Bishkek". The draft agreement between the governments of the two republics in the field of international combined cargo transportation was considered. In addition, Minister Beishenov met with Turkish Airlines President. The Turkish company expressed interest in the construction of terminals at the airports in Kyrgyzstan’s Bishkek and Osh. The Turkish side also briefed the Kyrgyz minister on the infrastructure of Istanbul's new international airport. Note that the issue of resuming flights en route "Osh - Istanbul - Osh" was considered at the session of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) during the discussion of the Open Sky project.
