Two Kyrgyz universities included in 200 best universities in Central Asia rating

Bishkek, Oct.16, 2019 /Kabar/. Two universities of Kyrgyzstan have been included in the rating of 200 best universities in Central Asia, the press service of the Education Ministry said. British national company Quacquarelli Symonds has compiled the best universities in developing countries in Europe and Central Asia. A total of 350 universities were included in the ranking. Two Kyrgyz universities - the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) and the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University are among the 190 best. The first ranked 163rd, the second ranked 190th. The first place in the ranking is occupied by the Moscow State University named after Lomonosov. The ranking of the best universities was based on several parameters, among them- the academic reputation of the university, its reputation among employers, and the recognition of research works by degree holders and students. Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) is a British company specializing in education. The company was founded in 1990 by Nunzio Quacquarelli.
