Two more COVID-19 patients die in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, May 15, 2020. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, two patients died of a COVID-19 coronavirus infection within 24 hours, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev said at a briefing. One fatal case (84-year-old woman) was reported in Naryn Oblast. "She was in intensive care with the diagnosis of respiratory failure of 3 degrees, pneumonia. The woman also had chronic kidney diseases. Her postmortem history confirmed coronavirus, so we decided that COVID-19 caused the cause of death. Now, an epidemiological investigation is underway in the village where the coronavirus was detected," Usenbayev said. The second man who died from coronavirus was 55 years old. He died at the Republican Clinical Hospital for Infectious Diseases in Bishkek "He had been in ICU at the hospital since Apr. 28. The man also had chronic diseases", Usenbayev added. As of May 15, Kyrgyzstan has confirmed 29 new coronavirus cases, 1, 111 in total, including 248 cases among medical workers. 745 patients have cured and been discharged from hospitals, 14 have died.
