Visit of Kazakhstan Senate Speaker Dariga Nazarbayeva to Kyrgyzstan postponed

Bishkek, Mar.13, 2020. /Kabar/. Official visit of Chairwoman of Kazakhstan Senate Dariga Nazarbayeva to Kyrgyzstan, scheduled for Mar.16-17, has been postponed, the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) reported on Friday. The decision was agreed as part of a telephone conversation between Parliament Speakers of Kyrgyzstan Dastanbek Dzhumabekov and Kazakhstan Dariga Nazarbayeva. The parliamentary leaders came to this decision following the action plans of the two countries due to the announced coronavirus pandemic by the World Health Organization. The decision was taken with the aim of preventing the spread of the coronavirus into the countries’ territories. Discussing the strengthening of good neighborly relations, Dzhumabekov and Nazarbayeva wished health and prosperity to the two brotherly nations. During the telephone conversation, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of development of bilateral political and economic, cultural-humanitarian interaction. The two speakers also exchanged opinions on the expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation, including at the level of parliamentary friendship groups.
