WAR VETERAN P.SHAGDARSUREN BECOMES HERO OF MONGOLIA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Khalkh River Battles Victory, some people were awarded state prizes on Wednesday. By a decree of the President Ts.Elbegdorj, the title of Hero of Mongolia was bestowed upon a war veteran Shagdarsuren Puntsag who fought in both the Khalkh River Battles and in the 1945 Liberation War. The Golden Star Medal and the Order of Sukhbaatar went to him. The Order of Sukhbaatar was given to a war veteran B.Saaraldai, the Red Flag Order of Military Merit--to Sh.Bagaajav and S.Lhamjav. The Order of Red Flag Order of Labour Merit went to veterans G.Batmonkh, S.Borkhuu and Ts.Chimedtseren. After the ceremony, the President Elbegdorj addressed the veterans and congratulated them on the anniversary.
