Ministry of Transport of Kyrgyzstan receives over 265 units of new special equipment

Bishkek, July 17, 2023. / Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov handed over 265 units of new special equipment to the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, which will be used for the construction, repair and cleaning of roads.

As part of the solemn ceremony, the head of state noted that special attention is being paid to the development of road infrastructure.

“Last year, 32 units of road construction equipment were handed over to the ministry. This year, 5 billion soms were allocated from the republican budget for the purchase of special equipment and 6 billion soms for other projects,” he said.

Sadyr Zhaparov also called on the road workers to take a responsible approach to fulfilling their obligations and work conscientiously.

“Each kilometer of the road opens up new opportunities for citizens and is of great importance for the socio-economic development of the country as a whole,” the President concluded.

It should be noted that for the years of independence, for the first time such a quantity of special equipment has been supplied to Kyrgyzstan at the expense of the republican budget.
