New Stamps Depict Magpie, National Bird of Korea

Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- The State Stamp Bureau of the DPRK issued new stamps (four kinds of individual stamps) depicting magpie, the national bird of Korea.

The stamps depict the magpie, which has been called a bird of fortune among the Korean people, in good harmony with the dwelling houses in Samjiyon City, Songhwa Street and Kyongru-dong and the new appearance of Korean-style rural civilization.

The stamps also bear letters "Magpie, the national bird of Korea". -0-
