‘Iraq refuses to provide Iran with maps showing location of mines’

TEHRAN, Nov. 9 (MNA) – Mohammad Hossein Amir-Ahmadi, the director of the mine clearance center of Iran, said on Tuesday that the Iraqi government has so far refused to provide the Islamic Republic with maps showing the location of mines buried on Iranian soil during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war, although two memorandums of understanding have been signed between the two countries in this regard. Iraqi officials say they do not have such maps, but they have them, Amir-Ahmadi said.
