Abdullah bin Zayed meets with Latvian Prime Minister

Riga: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister, yesterday met with Laimdota Straujuma, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, in the capital, Riga.
Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the regards of the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the Prime Minister of Latvia, who in turn conveyed her greetings to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and her wishes for further progress and prosperity for the UAE.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah commended the relations that bind the UAE and the Republic of Latvia, thanks to the support and keen interest of the leaderships of both countries on promoting and developing them in various fields.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the overall relations of cooperation between the UAE and Latvia and ways of developing them to include many fields with the aim of opening new horizons of joint action, as well as the possibility of creating partnership opportunities between the two countries in different sectors.
During the discussion, they also exchanged views and consultation on a number of issues of common interest between the two countries, in addition to the current developments on regional and international arenas.
Laimdota Straujuma welcomed Sheikh Abdullah and the delegation accompanying him and wished him well and success for his visit to contribute to bolstering ties between the two countries, particularly investment in education, tourism, health services, and SMEs for the benefit and welfare of the peoples of both countries.
Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to Germany and Non-resident Ambassador to Latvia, attended the meeting. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
