Abdullah bin Zayed stresses leadership's interest in supporting students abroad

Tokyo, April 25, 2013 (WAM) - : H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, has met with UAE students at Japanese universities in Tokyo. Sheikh Abdullah was briefed on the students' living conditions and study in Japan. He stressed the UAE's interest in caring for them and in following their educational efforts. He also stressed the wise leadership's keen interest in providing all support to the students to help them make more efforts and enhance their diligence to achieve their goal of obtaining scientific degrees in service of the nation. He also stressed that students abroad are ambassadors of their home country and that they should promote the highly positive image of the UAE which pins its hopes on its youth who are armed with science and knowledge so they contribute to the progress and prosperity of the UAE in all fields. "I'm glad to meet you and see your high determination which also makes your people and country glad. We are also proud of your efforts although you are away from your homeland," Sheikh Abdullah said. The students said they are proud and glad to meet Sheik Abdullah. They stressed that they are determined to achieve educational excellence and vowed to obtain the highest scientific degrees to contribute to the progress of the UAE.
