Ahmadinejad: US Has No Logic In Int’l Relations Save For Weapons

Kuwait, Oct 18, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Wednesday: There was a time that once a decision was made in White House it was implemented at international scene immediately, but today Washington has no logic in international relations save for logic of weapons.
President Ahmadinejad who was speaking at a press conference with the editors in chief of Kuwaiti media said that that is one of the reasons why the US role in international relations has been diminished.
The Iranian president posed the question, “How long can a government with a 16,000 billion dollar foreign debt remain a world power?” He added, “The Americans have twice the amount of their debts published paper wealth and injected it to the world economy and today the aftermaths and negative effects of their pseudo-wealth have plagued themselves.”
Ahmadinejad further reiterated, “Today in America the people have reached a total loss of hope regarding the ruling conditions in their country and the US politicians, too, have reached a dead end.”
The president turning to present the status of the racist Zionists, said, “Today the existence of the Zionist regime is to the loss of the westerners and they themselves, too, have come up with the conclusion that the present condition of their relations with the Zionists should be altered.”
Considering the presence of foreign forces in the Persian Gulf quite destabilizing, the IRI President stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran naturally considers the security and stability of the Persian Gulf region as its own security, adding that proof for this claim is that, “Throughout long years the Islamic Republic of Iran has been safeguarding the security of this region and that of its neighbors in the region, while insecure conditions of the region began when the aliens entered the Persian Gulf to support Saddam.”
A Kuwaiti journalist asked whether the Asian nations can have a decisive role in the world thru the Asian cooperation organization in the future. Ahmadinejad replied, “Asia has been the main cradle for the human civilization and the existing national and material talents and resources in it are unique.”
He added, “Asia is the largest continent of the world with the largest population, but the Asian Cooperation Dialogue gathering definitely does not limit its sphere of discussion to Asia, since the world issues are too intermingled with each other to yield to continental separation.”
Ahmadinejad reiterated, “The status quo of the materialist and capitalist world order, which is a continuation of the former slavery and colonialist system, has already faced defeat and failed to provide security, welfare, peace, and sustainable development for the mankind, having reach dead ends today, whose signs are seen in capitalist countries today.”
The president reiterated, “The leaders of the capitalist system tried for many years to sow the seeds of discord among nations so that they would have the opportunity to loot the nations’ wealth, but today they are at the end of their way.”
Pointing out that the world is in need of a new, Just World Order, Ahmadinejad reiterated, “Definitely, the future world order would be based on the fundamentals and the value system that the Asian nations are committed to, including justice, friendship, respecting the human beings, and equal status of the entire nations before the laws, which are the fundamentals that can solve the problems of the mankind and capable of establishing a more humane and sustainable New World Order.”
The president said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran focuses on the ACD in line with harbingering reform in general world order.”
WE SHOULD FOCUS OVER ULTRA-CONTINENTAL MATTERS
President Ahmadinejad pointed out that today we have passed thru the era in which regional organizations played pivotal roles, but all the same agreed, “Of course the existence of these organizations contribute greatly to reforms in different problematic fields, but we need to have ultra-continental approach so as to achieve a position in which the entire world nations would enjoy equal rights and justice, while respecting the prosperity of all nations would be the rule and the world nations would all be involved in world management amid peace, and that would pave the path for sustainable development, which is where the ACD gains its significance.”
A reporter asked about President Ahmadinejad’s meeting with Prime Minister Erdogan on the sidelines of the ACD Summit Meeting and the two countries’ consultations regarding the Syrian crisis. He replied, “Regarding the Syrian issue we are trying to establish peace, stability, and security, and respect that nation’s right for choosing freely, which is the absolute right of all nations, with absolutely no exception.”
The president said, “What was said so far included the ways for achieving those rights as some people believe waging war is the only way for solving the crises, while some others believe establishment of national understanding, sympathy, and unity would work better.”
Ahmadinejad emphasize that war has never been a suitable solution for problem solving, reiterating, “Any group that intends to gain power resorting to war, or to strengthen the pillars of power that way, cannot be successful, and that is why in order to reach an appropriate future in Syria we need to establish national understanding.”
The president added, “Every involved side in Syria should set aside enmities and disappointments and unit for the same of the future of that country, and then everyone must respect the choice of the Syrian nation.”
Ahmadinejad referred to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s proposal that the engaged sides would observe a cease fire on Adha Eid, expressing hope that this proposal would be accepted so that the sides would have a chance for holding dialogue and for reaching mutual understanding.
The president reacting to a journalist who has spoken about some media reports on Iran’s threats against Kuwait, said, “Such fabrications are totally false and baseless, because Iran and Kuwait enjoy brotherly and intimate relations,”
He added, “The Islamic Republic of Iran considers the security and stability of the regional countries as its own security and stability and throughout the course of history, Iran has been safeguarding both the security of the Persian Gulf region, and the security of its neighboring countries.”
PRESENCE OF FOREIGN FORCES, MAIN FORCE FOR INSCURE PERSIAN GULF CONDITION
The IRI president said that the security of the Persian Gulf was disturbed only after the alien forces entered it, adding, “During the course of the time when the aliens had been pushed out of the Persian Gulf security always existed in the Persian Gulf, but during the recent times that the foreign forces ended the region again to defend Saddam, insecurity prevails, whose main factor is the presence of foreign forces in the Persian Gulf.”
Ahmadinejad said that securing the security of the Persian Gulf is up to the entire regional countries, adding, “The enemies intend to foment disputes in the region to justify the continuation of their presence here and in this line they keep fabricating false news and propagations in the media that are under their hegemony.”
The president then posed the question, “What for there are more than 120 alien warships in the Persian Gulf today?” Himself responding, “When they aliens sell 40 to 50 billion dollars of warfare to the regional countries there must definitely be armed engagements and serious disputes to enable them to keep doing so, while many of the regional countries, such as Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, an Oman, have throughout history enjoyed amicable relations with each other.”
Ahmadinejad emphasized the need for strengthening friendly and brotherly relations among the entire regional countries, saying, “Any type of insecurity in the Persian Gulf would definitely be to the loss of the entire regional countries.”
The Iranian political leader added, “The Zionists and the Americans sometimes utter threatening worst and Iran, too, responds to such antagonist dialogues, because if we would not respond to them the Zionists would even intend to enter the homes of the regional nations and these responses are in line with preserving the regional security. Of course, I believe they are so worthless that even this extent of response, too, is not needed.”
PRESIDENT’S REACTION TO USAGE OF FORGED A-R-A-B-I-A-N GULF PHRASE
President Ahmadinejad reacted to one of the present journalists’ usage of the forged a-r-a-b-i-a-n Gulf combination instead of the historic Persian Gulf phrase, President Ahmadinejad guided him, “If you’re would refer to your schools’ text books you would definitely find the phrase ‘Persian Gulf’. Historic names are not stuff to be easily changed and those who have done so have not gained satisfactory results.”
The president added, “The Persian Gulf is a historic name of this water body and this has no relation with the tribal Arab and non-Arab issue, while we believe the era for tribalism and racism, too, has expired and today we are in a new era of brotherhood and friendship.”
Ahmadinejad reiterated, “Of course it is to the benefit of the regional countries that the name of this waterway would be Persian Gulf, because Iran is a faithful friend that has never betrayed its friends and does not take advantage of them to secure its own benefits.”
In response to a question on the effect of sanctions against Iran, the president reiterated, “Regarding the sanctions, before surveying their effects we must survey their causes.”
Ahmadinejad noted that the enemies of the Iranian nation and the progress and advancement of this nation have imposed these sanctions, adding, “Before the revolution a dictatorship was ruling over Iran in which no one could criticize over the slightest issues, but that regime was supported by the western countries, but as of the day that the Iranian nation achieved its independence the enmities against this nation, too, began and on any moment they come up with a new pretext for continuing this enmity.”
ENMITY AGAINST IRANIAN NATION IS A HISOTRICAL MISTAKE
President Ahmadinejad pointed out that the nuclear issue is merely a pretext for the enmities against the Iranian nation, adding, “observing enmity against the Iranian nation is a historical mistake, because they definitely do not know the Iranian nation; this nation has a 7,000 year history and those who have tries to eliminate the Iranian nation have been annihilated themselves, while the Iranian nation has remained alive and strong.”
Ahmadinejad said that Iran has a very huge economy which can function needless of oil, adding, “The people might be put into trouble under the sanctions’ pressure, but definitely the conditions, too, would change, because the hegemonic powers have no way, but to change the conditions.”
The president emphasized that European Union is on the verge of collapse today, reiterating, “The United State has not had economic relations with Iran during the past 33 years and these sanctions are in fact imposed against the European countries, since it has now been five years that they have imposed sanctions against Iran, but the question is, which one is experiencing tougher economic conditions, the EU, or the Islamic Republic?”
OPPRESSORS AFTR TAKING REVENGE OF IRANIAN NATION BY IMPOSING SANCTIONS
Ahmadinejad said that the sanctions are two way issues, arguing, “The oppressors by imposing sanctions are in fact after taking revenge of the Iranian nation, but they would definitely gain no tangible result.”
A reporter asked whether the Islamic Republic of Iran has military presence in Syria and in Lebanon. The president replied, “The Islamic Republic has declared its stand in this regard clearly: We are opposed to war and to military intervention in the internal affairs of other countries.”
WORD ‘SPRING’ INAPPROPRIATE FOR WAR-STRICKEN COUNTRIES
Ahmadinejad pointed out that Iran considers freedom as the absolute right of the nations, reiterating, “We believe wars and military interventions yield no favorable result and it is not appropriate to use the word ‘spring’ for a country in a war has occurred, because the word spring is synonymous with beauty and peace of mind.”
The president emphasize that the rights of the Syrian nation must be fully observed and free and fair elections must be held relying on national understanding, adding, “A country is in need of management for hundreds of years and the people must live peacefully, friendly, and at peace with each other and today, anyone that blows in the horn of war is beyond doubt not the friend of the Syrian nation.”
A reporter asked whether the Egyptian President Muhammad Morsi’s address at Tehran NAM Summit has made Iran change stand regarding Syria. President Ahmadinejad replied, “If you assume that the policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran are changed with one speech this is a mistake, because the Islamic Revolution was aimed at pursuing the demands and ideals of the people and believes the people would fully achieve their rights when justice would rule all over the world.”
A reporter asked what Iran’s initiatives for solving the Syrain crisis are.
Ahmadinejad replied, “If some people have assumed that the solution to the Sprain crisis is war waging and inciting more tension they had better declare their stand openly and clearly; but we believe war is not the right way and the only right move is to permit the Syrian nation to decide for their future themselves and the other countries, too, can contribute to the smooth process of this national decision making there.”
Emphasizing the warmonger approaches in Syria are totally wrong, arguing, “That is because the Syrian society has a tribal texture and tribal wars can be endless there, since the entire Syrian tribes and groups must live side by side of each other at peace, while if one tribe would win the war and take control of the situation, that would be the beginning of new rounds of tensions.”
A reporter asked, “How sure are you about your arguments regarding the diminishing of the role of the Americans and the Zionists in the world?”
The president replied, “An empire, or a government remains in power so long as the people under its power support it, but today the Americans have acted in a way that the world nations do not like them at all, and therefore, their international legitimacy is annihilated.”
In response to a reporter’s question on the extent of security of Bushehr Nuclear Plant and lack of any type of environmental and other threats due to its existence, Ahmadinejad said, “The Bushehr Nuclear Plant is highly secure, to an extent that some 12 million Iranian live in its vicinity. We love the Kuwaiti nation as much as we love our own nation, and the entire security measures are observed so that there is not even the slightest threats whatsoever posed by the BNP for the region.”
President Ahmadinejad reiterated, “The westerners have equaled the Iranian nuclear program with the atomic bomb threat, while today no country would be able to lead good lives without the nuclear energy, which is a blessing for the industrial, medical, agricultural and many other fields.”
Ahmadinejad noted that there are over 500 nuclear plants around the globe today, tens of types of them are functioning only in the United States and they even have nuclear bombs, reiterating, “How is it that the existence of those plants pose no threat and it is merely the Bushehr Nuclear Plant that is perilous?” he added, “This is a method resorting to which they intend to create crises among the regional countries.”
The president reiterated, “I propose that a group of Kuwaiti experts, media officials, and politicians would come to Iran to observe Iran’s nuclear facilities personally.”
Another reporter, too, asked about Iran’s nuclear program. The IRI president replied, “Due to the political approach of the world oppressor powers the Iranian nuclear issue has become a boring issue. Today everyone knows that the westerners are basically opposed to the advancement of the Iranian nation and even if the nuclear issue would be solved they would resort to another pretext, such as Iran’s manufacturing of satellites, or even production of medicines, or becoming a space power, to interfere in our internal affairs.”
A reporter asked about the Iranian president’s estimation of the possibility of the outbreak of a war in the Persian Gulf region. The Iranian president replied, “I do not think such a war would occur, because we all contribute to the establishment of security in this region, but at any rate when the United States make some threats, Iran, too, responses to them. Everyone knows that it is not possible to urge the Iranian nation to retreat resorting to war threat.”
MKO IS A TERROR ORGANZAION, IN, OR OUT OF US TERRIST GROUPS’ LIST
A reporter asked Ahmadinejad’s idea about deleting the hypocrite MKO from the US terrorist organizations’ list.
He replied, “Is the index for being terrorist of a group its inclusion in the US list of terrorist organizations the index and measuring stick for that organization’s being terrorist, or not? Why had the Americans placed the MKO in that list earlier? Does this not prove the Americans have instrumental approach toward absolutely every issue?”
The president added, “If we wished to propagate that the Americans are pro –terrorist we had to spend millions of dollars, but today they themselves have done so for us free of charge! The MKO is a hated organization both in Iran and in Iraq. They have massacred over 16,000 Iranians and the Americans would definitely gain no benefit out of this move.”
Ahmadinejad said that establishment of justice in the world is in need of collective cooperation and harmony among world nations, adding, “Democracy must be established based on rules of justice, since democracy established based on gun point is doomed to defeat and that is a new type a dictatorship.”
A reporter asked about Iran’s relations with the littoral Arab countries by the Persian Gulf, and particularly with the Saudi Arabia.
The Iranian president said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran is the friend of the entire nations, hoping for prosperity, prestige, advancement, and security of our entire brethren. Of course, there are some people who are after sowing the seeds of discord and crises in the region, but we favor strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation, because we believe enmity bears no sweet fruit.”
The president posed the question, “Why should there be religious deputes in the religion and among Muslim countries? He himself replied, “We Muslims are still miles away from the reality of Islam and the living style of the Prophet (P). The more we would retreat to the past achieving unity among the Muslims would get more difficult. We need to achieve mutual agreement regarding the future and keeping in mind the Messenger of Allah (P) was appointed as God’s Prophet (P) to promote kindness and the exalted humane values, these should be the basis of our efforts aimed at achieving unity, so we should encourage all to work aimed at manifestation of those objectives.
About the prevailing conditions in Bahrain and the solution for the crisis there, Ahmadinejad said, “In Bahrain, too, it should be acted like the other countries. We believe respecting the people’s right to choose must be respected for very nation in the world and the Bahraini nation, too, must be granted the right to choose its government free from foreign interference.”
About the perspective of relations with Kuwait and the joint session of Iranian and Kuwaiti officials, the IRI president said, “Agreements have been reached over holding such session in near future and in my meeting with the Emir of Kuwait too, we surveyed the most important issued aimed at strengthening ties, which we hope their result would be observed in near future.”
Ahmadinejad said that there are no dark points in Iran-Kuwait relations, reiterating, “The world conditions are subject to rapid changes and we would soon be witnesses to new relations at the international scene.”
The president pointed out that the enemies of the two nations are opposed to the existence of brotherly relations and in that line, they are busy fomenting crises and propagating lies, adding, “We need to resist against the hatched plots and the conspiracies, because the future belongs to our pious believer brethren.”
Ahmadinejad concluded the press conference arguing, “The Islamic Republic of Iran basically does not believe in interference in internal affairs of the other countries and considers it a wrong and illegitimate move, strongly believing in nations’ right to decide their own fates.”
The Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) is a body created in 2002 to promote Asian cooperation at a continental level and to help integrate separate regional cooperation organizations such as ASEAN, SAARC and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The main objectives of the ACD are to:
Promote interdependence among Asian countries in all areas of cooperation by identifying Asia's common strengths and opportunities which will help reduce poverty and improve the quality of life for Asian people whilst developing a knowledge-based society within Asia and enhancing community and people empowerment;
Expand the trade and financial market within Asia and increase the bargaining power of Asian countries in lieu of competition and, in turn, enhance Asia's economic competitiveness in the global market;
Serve as the missing link in Asian cooperation by building upon Asia's potentials and strengths through supplementing and complementing existing cooperative frameworks so as to become a viable partner for other regions;
Ultimately transform the Asian continent into an Asian Community, capable of interacting with the rest of the world on a more equal footing and contributing more positively towards mutual peace and prosperity
The idea of an Asia Cooperation Dialogue was raised at the First International Conference of Asian Political Parties (held in Manila from 17–20 September 2000) by Surakiart Sathirathai, then deputy leader of the now defunct Thai Rak Thai Party, on behalf of his party leader, Thaksin Shinawatra, then Prime Minister of Thailand. It was suggested that Asia as a continent should have its own forum to discuss Asia-wide cooperation. Afterwards, the idea of the ACD was formally put forward during the 34th ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting in Hanoi (23–24 July 2001) and at the ASEAN Foreign Ministers Retreat in Phuket (20–21 February 2002).
Thailand initiated the ACD to be a continent-wide cooperative framework guided by positive thinking and the comfort level of participants. The ACD aims to consolidate Asian strengths and fortify Asia’s competitiveness by maximizing the diversity and rich resources in Asia.
The First ACD Ministerial Meeting was held from 18-19 June 2002 in Cha-Am, Thailand. This first Meeting was an historic and successful event that brought together countries representing the sub-regions of Asia and provided a venue where Asian countries could freely discuss issues of common interest and put forward measures to enhance mutual cooperation in all areas. Ministers were enthusiastic in expressing their support for the ACD and in creating a formidable synergy within Asia. Indeed, they agreed that the ACD represented a forum that could consolidate political will among Asian Governments and offer opportunities for them to develop common approaches to positive issues.
The ACD currently comprises 31 countries from East to West Asia and is the first forum ever that aims to eventually encompass all countries in Asia.
President Ahmadinejad’s press conference was on the sidelines of the 2012 ACD Summit in Kuwait, the 2014 summit of the ACD would be held in Pakistan, and its 2018 Summit is scheduled to be held in Tehran.
