Airbus CEO meets Thai PM
BANGKOK, March 8 (TNA) – Thai Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha clarified Thailand’s political situation and economic development plan to Fabrice Brégier, President and Chief Executive Officer of Airbus, during the meeting today at Government House today.
Weerachon Sukhontapatipak, deputy government spokesman said during the meeting, Thai premier clarified Thailand’s political situation that since he took his post, he worked to address urgent problems and obstacles to lay foundation for the country’s development and the stable democratic system. The government will proceed with carrying out the 20-year national policies to achieve its goals.
The two sides touched on Thailand’s economic policies. Gen Prayut said the government paid attention to infrastructure development, particularly on transportation network in Thailand and neighbouring countries.
Under the Eastern Economic Corridor, the government also plans to expansion of U-Tapao Airport in Rayong. The prime minister welcomed the company’s investment in the project if it is interested.
The Airbus president said the company welcomed Thailand 4.0 policy, to promote an economy based on creativity, innovation and high-level services, particularly on the aviation industry. (TNA)
