Ambassador Otunbayev presents credentials to Canada's governor general

Bishkek, Mar.13, 2020. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Canada with residence in Washington (USA) Bolot Otunbayev presented credentials to Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported. The ceremony of handing over of credentials was held on Mar. 11 at the residence of Governor General of Canada Julie Payette. During the ceremony, the governor stressed the common commitment of the two countries to the principles of democracy and parliamentarism, and expressed hope for strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Canada. Ambassador Otunbayev assured the Canadian side of Kyrgyzstan's readiness to develop full bilateral cooperation between in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. During the meeting, the Canadian side was invited to focus on the economic component and expand areas of cooperation, not limited to the mining industry. The sides noted with satisfaction the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in the framework of international organizations.
