AmCham Abu Dhabi supports UAE Red Crescent Authority's efforts to help Syrian children

Abu Dhabi (WAM): The Red Crescent Authority (RCA) has received a donation from AmCham Abu Dhabi, the trademark of the American Business Group of Abu Dhabi and member of the global network of American Chambers of Commerce, in support of aid to the children of Syria in refugee camps in Jordan. The funds donated by AmCham Abu Dhabi were raised at the 4th Annual Excellence Awards organised on January 31st, 2014. Charitable donations of this magnitude have been made by AmCham on a formal basis for the past 14 years, in keeping with AmCham's commitment to promoting goodwill between the US and UAE and giving back to the community. The delegation from AmCham Abu Dhabi included AmCham Abu Dhabi Chairman, Matthew E. Byrd, AmCham Board Member, Dr. Elias B. Sayah, AmCham Executive Director, Theresa F. Weber and representatives of two Platinum members who were major sponsors of the event, Al Noor Hospitals Group and Gulf Diagnostic Centre Hospital. Dignitaries from the UAE Red Crescent Authority included Mohammed Saeed Al Rumaithi, Deputy Secretary General for Local Affairs and Mohammed Yousef Al Fahim, Deputy Secretary General for Support Services. "AmCham Abu Dhabi is pleased to assist the UAE Red Crescent Authority with their efforts to bring relief and aid to various local and international humanitarian projects," said AmCham Abu Dhabi Chairman, Matthew E.
