Azeri Envoy: UN Should Condemn Killing Of Iran Nuclear Scientists

New York, Jan 21, IRNA – Permanent Representative of Republic of Azerbaijan at the United Nations said the body should strongly condemn the assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientists and frankly deal with the issue. Talking to IRNA here, Agshin Mehdiyev condemned such desperate moves and said the international community should confront such terrorist acts with aim of uprooting them. He strongly criticized the failure of some UN Security Council member staets in condemning terrorist acts in Iran and said the world community too should unanimously adopt position against such actions. In a letter to the UN chief earlier, Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations Mohammad Khazaee said there was strong evidence that foreign agents were behind assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists./end
