Bagheri Kani: Time, place of negotiations being finalized

Tehran, IRNA - Iran's deputy foreign minister and top negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani said on Sunday that the time and place of negotiations are being finalized. On the sidelines of the 4th International Conference on American Human Rights from the Supreme Leader's point of view, Bagheri Kani said that negotiations in Doha took place within a predetermined framework. He added that the continuation of the talks is based on an agreement that exists between the Iranian side and Deputy EU foreign policy chief Enrique Mora. The time and place of the next negotiations between the Iranian side and Mora are underway and is being finalized, Iran's top negotiator pointed out. The eighth round of JCPOA talks started in Vienna on December 6, 2021. The talks mainly focus on the removal of anti-Iran sanctions and resolving some critical issues. Despite significant progress in the negotiations, a number of important issues still remain unresolved and a final agreement seems out of reach as making the final decisions requires political decisions by western parties, especially Washington.
