Bahraini diplomat summoned over insult to Iranian soccer players

TEHRAN, Nov. 13 (MNA) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the Bahraini charge d’affaires on Saturday to protest the fact that a number of spectators at Manama’s Bahrain National Stadium watching the match between the Iranian and Bahraini football teams held on Friday insulted the Iranian players and that the Bahraini officials failed to take measures necessary to deal with them. Iran was held to a 1-1 draw against Bahrain on Friday in the 2014 World Cup qualifying at Manama’s Bahrain National Stadium.
