CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting on Saturday, the cabinet adopted a rule of organizing, implementing and monitoring the purchasing activities in accordance with a law on purchasing products and services with the state and local capitals. This rule has been created in a view of establishing the Department of Purchasing Activities pursuant to the cabinet resolution issued on August 27 this year. - It was decided to run the 10th meeting of Regional Consultative Committee on Disaster Management at the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center in March of 2013. This meeting usually brings together every year some 50 leaders of the disaster management authorities of 26 Asia-Pacific countries and representatives of United Nations specialized organizations and donors for the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center. - The cabinet discussed an issue of marking next year the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and decided to issue a related resolution. Set up at the cabinet meeting, an organizing group for the anniversary has been obliged to make a plan for the event and to introduce it to the cabinet. The committee is headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. - The cabinet adopted a plan of measures to realize the 2012-2016 action programme of the government, and decided to release a resolution. This plan has 1,099 measures grasped in 321 goals. B.Khuder
