Capture Of Drone, Slap On The Face Of US: Editor

Islamabad, Dec 6, IRNA – A Pakistani editor on Wednesday said that capture of highly sophisticated American drone by Iran is a slap on the face of US.
Talking to IRNA, Saleem Bukhari editor of daily ‘The Nation’ congratulated Iranian government, security and defence forces on the achievement.
According to ‘The Islamic Revolution Guards Corpse’ public relations statement issued on Tuesday, the drone was captured in the Persian Gulf general zone.
The statement added that the US drone which has been spotted doing spying operations to collect information in the general zone of the Persian Gulf in the past few days, was captured by the IRGC Navy’s anti –aircraft squads and control units immediately after entering the Iranian airspace.
The IRGC Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi explained that the captured drone was a ScanEagle which usually carries out its mission from aboard big warships.
Saleem Bukhari expressing his views said that last year Iran had successfully brought down a highly advanced US drone which according to US claims could not be diverted.
The analyst also said that the capture of the drone which was trying to fly towards Iranian nuclear installations by Iran is a slap on the face of so-called super power.
The journalist went on to say that US claims that no country can beat it in the technological advancement have lost their worth. “I salute the Iranian leadership on this achievement,” he added.
He said that the leaders of Pakistan should also follow the Iranian approach towards American hegemony and take some practical steps to stop US drone strikes in Pakistani territory.
Saleem Bukhari said that Iran has become a role model for the whole world by following the steadfast policies. He said that the name of Iran would be written in golden worlds in the history.
”During my last visit to Iran I had an opportunity to visit a science expo and was highly impressed by the achievements of Iran in the field of science and technology,” said the senior journalist. “They are entering into satellite age,” the editor pointed out.
He said that there is no doubt about that Iran has shattered the US dream to become the world power. He was of the view that Muslims have to progress in the field of science and technology to counter American dominance.
Saleem Bukhari said that Iran has the capacity to beat Americans in technology sector. “Being a Muslim and Pakistani I feel proud on the achievements of Iran,” he said./end
