"CHINGIS KHAAN-850" STAMP ISSUED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The presentation of the "Chingis Khaan-850" post stamp ran at the Government House on November 13. The stamp has been issued in 19,800 as a dedication to the 850th birthday of the Great Conqueror by state-owned “Mongol post” company. It has been jointly created by an artist Ts.Tsengel and designer B.Damdinsuren, it depist Chingis Khaan who just dismounted from a horse, behind him the Burkhan Khaldun mountain is seen. The very first stamp with Chingis Khaan depicted was released here half a century ago. Since then, Mongolia has issued some 30 serial stamps dedicated to Chingis Khaan and other historical persons and events. Ch.Enkhtuya
